The
objective was to recruit at least 20 new members to join
Shirley Park Golf Club. An original promotion was devised
giving golfers three months free golf if they agreed to pay
one third of the joining fee up front. A series of advertisements
ran in the Croydon Advertiser and Golf News over six weeks.
The results were outstanding. The total spend for the
campaign of advertisements was just under £4,000 and
recruited over 40 new members. The immediate income was £12,000.
36 of the new members renewed their memberhip in June giving
a further income of £50,400. Not a bad return on investment.
